The cam is located in Willamette Pass in Deschutes National Forest in central Oregon. Deschutes National Forest Eagle Cam is provided by the Oregon Zoo, AT&T, the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation, and the USDA Forest Service's NatureWatch Program. The area was first identified as an occupied territory in 1974, and has been successful in producing fledglings in 21 of the years since then. They raised one chick in 2006, and had early nest failures in 2007 and 2008.
