Look for eggs in late April

Female didn't feed chick for over 30 hours though male brought several fish that she ate - first-time mom? Chick seen dead the morning after heavy rain, so may have become wet and cold.

not sure why youngest chick died - was very much smaller, but seemed OK

Cam not functioning most of the season, so "last seen" dates partly depend on when someone got to the site for a visit.

Koo

One of Koo's legs is injured - looks as if the "knee" is sprained or twisted; she(?) can only stand on one leg

*Koo was found in a ditch Aug 29, unable to fly, and was rescued and sent to a wildlife center in Ranua to be assessed; she was force-fed initially, then began to eat food that was offered (as an adult would do); she was not very successful at feeding herself, and seemed unable to perch on her good leg; x-rays showed there was no good solution for the damaged leg, and she was euthanized Sept 9.
